Artist's Description
The Lions Gate Bridge, officially known as the First Narrows Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the first narrows of Burrard Inlet. I couldn't help but be amazed at the absolute perfection of the steel structure that held the cables of this suspension bridge in Vancouver BC. Awesome engineering. The bridge was built during the great depression and was open to traffic in 1938. It provided much needed jobs for the local residence of Vancouver.
