Description
Common garden spider is not common when you look at the details, colors and intelligence. At dusk it will build a 2x2 foot web right out in the open and wait for prey. It doesn't have to wait long and soon it will be dining on mosquitoes, moths, flys and other flying insects. Then at dawn it will tear down the large webb and then rebuild it the very next night.

Love the processing !! l/f
Joseph G Holland replied:
Actually all I did in post processing was to crop it and eliminate the few visible strands of silk. The colors are actual. Illumination was with a flashlight. Focus was tricky because of a light breeze that moved the patient subject in and out of range. Thanks for your comment. I think I was pissing off this spider though as mosquitoes were more interested in me than becoming the spiders dinner guest. :)
