Description
Perched on the exposed limb of a submerged fallen tree, an anhinga enjoys the warm Florida sun. Anhingas hunt by fishing underwater. In order to be able to dive their feathers have less oils than ducks or geese. Their wings can get soaked and water logged, which could be fatal. So they find a nice sunny perch and spread their wings to dry them.
